Abstract(s)
O presente projeto, intitulado de "A Influência do Consumo de Substâncias na Dinâmica da Violência Doméstica – Análise dos registos da GNR", tem como objetivo principal explorar a relação entre o consumo de substâncias psicoativas, como as drogas e o álcool, e a ocorrência de violência doméstica (VD) com base nos registos da Guarda Nacional Republicana (GNR) entre os anos de 2020 e 2024. Baseado em evidências teóricas que conectam o uso de drogas a comportamentos violentos, o projeto visa analisar como o consumo de substâncias influencia a incidência de VD, além de identificar o perfil demográfico de vítimas e agressores. Com uma abordagem exploratória, descritiva e comparativa, o estudo empregará uma metodologia quantitativa para analisar os dados estatísticos da GNR, visando responder a questões sobre a frequência e o perfil das vítimas e a associação entre consumo de drogas e violência.
The present project, titled "The Influence of Substance Consumption on the Dynamics of Domestic Violence – Analysis of Records from Guarda Nacional Republicana (GNR)," aims to explore the relationship between the consumption of psychoactive substances, such as drugs and alcohol, and the occurrence of domestic violence (DV) based on the records of the GNR between the years 2020 and 2024. Grounded in theoretical evidence that connects drug use to violent behaviors, the project seeks to analyze how substance consumption influences the incidence of DV, as well as to identify the demographic profile of victims and perpetrators. With an exploratory, descriptive, and comparative approach, the study will employ a quantitative methodology to analyze statistical data from the GNR, aiming to answer questions regarding the frequency and profile of victims and the association between drug use and violence.
