Abstract(s)
Goal: This dissertation intends to perform a critical analysis about the "zero bone loss around implants" concept. The goal lies at the expansion of what is at the base of clinical success, studying each factor individually and carving a correlation between all of them. Methodology: A bibliographic review was made using the PubMed computer database. Some inclusion and exclusion criteria were selected, having been included in bibliographic and systematic analysis research, clinical studies, meta-analyses and books, strictly related to the theme. Results: After deepening the parameters that may have an influence on marginal bone loss, a relationship was established between them, clarifying that isolated will never have the same success that they have when harmonized. Conclusions: It is proposed there are many reasons that lead to marginal bone loss. Nevertheless, it is important to understand that the control of the factors addressed by this concept, are undoubtedly a valence in the acquisition of good clinical results.
