Mapeamento dos fatores de risco multifatoriais associados à peri-implantite em implantes dentários: scoping review

Abstract(s)
Objetivo: Este estudo aborda e compara os fatores de risco mais descritos e observados pelos autores/investigadores e tem como objetivo a sintetização dos mesmos de forma a determinar quais os principais fatores de risco associados à peri-implantite.
Material e métodos: A metodologia utilizada foi de acordo com The Joanna Briggs Institute Reviewers’ Manual 2015®. Foi feita uma pesquisa sem espaço temporal delimitado e com o filtro de idioma Inglês em três bases de dados online: PubMed, Cochrane e Science Direct.
A problemática deste estudo foi desenvolvida através da estratégia de metodologia PICO e submetida a critérios de inclusão e exclusão. Posteriormente foram feitas triagens sequenciais ao nível do título, do resumo e do artigo na globalidade.
A metodologia está representada de acordo com o diagrama PRISMA 2020.
Resultados: Da fase de pesquisa sobre os fatores de risco multifatoriais associados à peri-implantite, resultaram 10 artigos à luz da evidência científica atual. Os principais fatores de risco para a peri-implantite identificados ao longos dos estudos foram o historial de periodontite e o tabagismo.
Conclusão: A literatura atual disponível sobre o tema é vasta, mas o mapeamento dos fatores de risco associados à doença não é suficientemente discutido e investigado.
Há uma disparidade na forma de medir e classificar a peri-implantite entre cada estudo e por esse motivo há consequentemente resultados diferentes na análise.
Objective: This study addresses and compares risk factors most described and observed by the authors/investigators and aims to synthesize them in order to determine which are the main risk factors associated with peri-implantitis. Material and methods: The methodology used was in accordance with The Joanna Briggs Institute Reviewers' Manual 2015®. A search without a delimited time frame and with the English language filter was carried out in three online databases: PubMed, Cochrane and Science Direct. This study was developed through the PICO methodology strategy and subjected to inclusion and exclusion criteria. Subsequently, sequential screenings were carried out at the title, abstract and article levels as a whole. The methodology is represented according to the PRISMA 2020 diagram. Results: The research phase on the multifactorial risk factors associated with peri-implantitis resulted in 10 articles based on current scientific evidence. The main risk factors for peri-implantitis identified throughout the studies were a history of periodontitis and smoking. Conclusion: The current literature available on the subject is vast, but the mapping of risk factors associated with the disease is not sufficiently discussed and investigated. There is a disparity in the way of measuring and classifying peri-implantitis between each study and for this reason there are consequently different results in the analysis.
