Abstract(s)
In this study, a literature review was made on the clinical protocol of pulpal revascularization of teeth with incomplete rhizogenesis and pulpal necrosis diagnosis. Nowadays, it is considered an alternative treatment to apexification. In this study, we will address its clinical applicability, its advantages and disadvantages. The recent demonstration of good radiographic results in revascularization treatments in immature permanent teeth, with a significantly greater increase in root width and length when compared to apexification with MTA or traditional non-surgical root canal treatment, has aroused interest in this method. Endodontic revascularization therapy in immature permanent necrotic teeth presents some limitations and issues. Therefore, further studies are needed. However, it is a promising treatment for restoring pulp vitality with consequent root development.
