Hoje e cada vez mais, a Investigação em Enfermagem tem um papel determinante no desenvolvimento e na consolidação de novos conhecimentos. Como tal, no âmbito da Licenciatura em Enfermagem da Universidade Fernando Pessoa, foi proposta a realização de uma monografia, sendo esta parte dos requisitos para obtenção do grau de licenciado. Deste modo, o tema abordado no presente trabalho, intitula-se “A importância que os alunos do 4º ano da Licenciatura em Enfermagem da U.F.P atribuem à Escuta Activa na recuperação de doentes psiquiátricos”. Sendo que o principal objectivo é conhecer a importância que os alunos do 4º ano da Licenciatura em Enfermagem da U.F.P atribuem a Escuta Activa na recuperação de doentes psiquiátricos e, consequentemente se estes mesmos alunos a executam quando lhes é oportuno. A população – alvo deste estudo refere-se aos alunos do 4º ano da Licenciatura em Enfermagem da U.F.P, com uma amostra de 40 alunos, que integram o 4º ano. No referente trabalho, adoptou-se por um estudo, descritivo simples, utilizando como instrumento de colheita de dados, o questionário, constituído por perguntas de resposta fechada. Como método, optou-se por um método de investigação quantitativa. No que diz respeito ao tratamento dos dados recolhidos, após realizada a respectiva análise e sua discussão, verificou-se que os alunos do 4º ano da Licenciatura em Enfermagem da U.F.P atribuem grande importância a Escuta Activa e executam-na nos diversos Ensinos Clínicos pelos quais foram passando ao longo do curso. Com este trabalho de investigação procurou-se fomentar uma atitude de carácter crítico – reflexiva, para melhorar a relação interpessoal nos cuidados de Enfermagem em Saúde Mental e Psiquiátrica. Today and increasingly, research in Nursing represents a determining role in the development and consolidation of new Knowledge. As such, within the ambit of the Nursing Science Degree at the Fernando Pessoa University, the production of a monograph, which is part of the requirements for obtaining a Degree. Therefore, the subject of this work, entitled “The importance the students of 4th year of the Nursing Science Degree at the UFP, attribute active listening in the recovery of psychiatric patients”. Since the main objective is to understand the importance that the students of 4th year of the Nursing Science Degree at the UFP attribute active listening in the recovery of psychiatric patients, and consequently if these same students perform when they’re appropriate. The target population for this study refers to students of 4th year of the Nursing Science Degree at the UFP, with a sample of 40 students, within the 4th year. In the current research work, has been adopted as study type, simple descriptive, using as an collecting data, a questionnaire, incorporating questions of closed. As a method, has been adopted a method of quantitative research. Within regard to the processing of data collected performed it’s analysis and discussion, it was found that students in the 4th year of the Nursing Science Degree at the UFP attach great importance to active listening and performing it in various clinical placements for which passed along the course. With this research instigates an attitude of critical analysis, to improve interpersonal relations in nursing care in Mental Health and Psychiatric.
