Abstract(s)

Objective: To elaborate a narrative review from the available scientific literature on occlusal splints and their applicability in the management of a bruxism patient. Methology: Bibliographic research on the “Pubmed” platform, in Portuguese and English without publication deadline. From the complete reading of the articles, 18 were selected. During the study it was necessary to add 6 articles. Conclusion: Bruxism is a condition of complex etiology. Several studies support the effectiveness of occlusal splints in their management, however, further studies on the topic are needed in order to reach a more solid conclusion on their implementation and feasibility.
