Abstract(s)

Objetivo: verificar o desempenho de crianças normais falantes do português em provas de Memória de Trabalho Fonológica (MT F). Metodologia: foram avaliadas 200 crianças entre sete e oito anos por meio de repetição de não palavras e dígitos. Resultados: não houve diferença estatisticamente significante entre o desempenho das crianças entre sete e oito anos. Houve diferença estatisticamente significante na repetição de não palavras acima de três sílabas. Conclusão: para as faixas etárias estudas não houve mudanças significativas no armazenamento do material verbal na MT F, entretanto, há maior dificuldade na armazenagem conforme se aumenta o número de sílabas das não palavras. Objective: To review the performance of normal children of Portuguese speakers in tests of working memory Phonological (WMP). Methodology: we evaluated 200 children between seven and eight years through repetition of non-words and digits. Results: No statistically significant difference between the performance of children between seven and eight years. There was a statistically significant difference in recurrence of non-words over three syllables. Conclusion: for the age groups studied there were no significant changes in the storage of verbal material in the WMP, however, there is greater difficulty in storage as it increases the number of syllables non-words.
