| dc.description.abstract | O sentimento de insegurança é um fenómeno que se define através de representações sociais do meio, ou seja, de experiências vivenciadas pelo indivíduo e/ou, neste caso, pelo coletivo. É neste sentido que se baseia esta investigação, num levantamento de necessidades da população alvo relativamente ao seu sentimento de insegurança. Desta forma, procedeu-se à aplicação de um questionário junto da mesma, sendo estes residentes, trabalhadores, estudantes, ou meramente transeuntes da cidade de Matosinhos. Os dados recolhidos revelam que existe de facto um sentimento de insegurança palpável, contudo não derivado do aumento de criminalidade, pois o que mais descreveram como catalisador deste fenómeno foi o facto de não conseguirem percecionar a atividade policial, juntamente com falhas nas infraestruturas da cidade, como falta de iluminação, péssima manutenção da cidade, tanto a nível de higiene como de manutenção das vias públicas, entre outros. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The feeling of insecurity (fear of crime) is a phenomenon defined through social representations of the environment, that is, experiences lived by the individual and/or, in this case, by the collective. It is by this logic that we based this research on a survey of the needs of the target population regarding their sense of insecurity. Thus, we applied to them a questionnaire, being these residents, workers, students, or merely passers-by from the city of Matosinhos. The data collected revealed that there is indeed a sense of palpable insecurity, although not derived from the increase in crime, since what they most described as a catalyst for this phenomenon was the fact that they failed to perceive police activity, along with failures in the city's infrastructure, such as lack of lighting, poor maintenance of the city, both in hygiene and of public roads, among others. | pt_PT |
