Abstract(s)
“Laser”, “endodontics”, “Photon-induced photoaccoustic streaming”, “PIPSTM, “Laseractivated
irrigation”.

Since irrigation is a crucial factor for the reduction of the bacterial load, several irrigation activation techniques have been developed. In this way, emerges the Photon Induced Photoacoustic Streaming (PIPSTM). For de accomplishment of the presente dissertation a research was carried out in the presente year using Pubmed, Medline, Scielo and Google Scholar databases through the labrary of Universidade Fernando Pessoa using the keywords: “Laser”, “endodontics”, “Photon-induced photoacoustic streaming”, “PIPSTM”, “laser-activated irrigation”. As a resulto f this research it was obtained a total of 38 articles written in English and published in the last 11 years. Throught a review of the literature it was observed that the PIPSTM can be an alternative to the activation of endodontic irrigation.
