A disfunção urinária é uma manifestação comum na Esclerose Múltipla (EM), afetando até 80% dos pacientes. A fisioterapia constitui uma alternativa eficaz para reduzir os sintomas e melhorar a qualidade de vida.
Objetivo: Analisar as intervenções de fisioterapia mais eficazes na reabilitação da disfunção urinária em pessoas com EM.
Metodologia: Revisão da literatura de estudos dos últimos 10 anos, selecionados nas bases PubMed, PEDro, ScienceDirect e Web of Science. Foram incluídos estudos experimentais com intervenção de fisioterapia.
Resultados: Da pesquisa foram selecionados seis estudos (n=6), que demonstraram resultados positivos do treino do pavimento pélvico, biofeedback, neuromodulação e telereabilitação. Todos relataram melhoria nos sintomas urinários e na qualidade de vida.
Conclusão: A fisioterapia é eficaz no tratamento da disfunção urinária na EM, especialmente quando supervisionada e adaptada. A avaliação correta é essencial para o sucesso do tratamento.
Urinary dysfunction is a common manifestation in Multiple Sclerosis (MS), affecting up to 80% of patients. Physiotherapy is an effective alternative for reducing symptoms and improving quality of life. Objective: To analyze the most effective physiotherapy interventions in the rehabilitation of urinary dysfunction in people with MS. Methodology : Bibliographic review of articles from the last 10 years, selected from PubMed, PEDro, ScienceDirect and Web of Science. Randomized clinical trials with physiotherapy intervention were included. Results: Six studies (n=6) were selected from the search, which showed positive results from pelvic floor training, biofeedback, neuromodulation and telerehabilitation. All reported improvements in urinary symptoms and quality of life. Conclusion: Physiotherapy is effective in treating urinary dysfunction in MS, especially when supervised and adapted. Correct assessment is essential for successful treatment.
