Abstract(s)
Considerando o
Journal of Dentistry» com as palavras chaves: «Reparação de Restauração Dentaria»;
defeituosas.
The repair of direct restorations is a minimally invasive procedure that allows to avoid the substitution and all the disadvantages that it brings. Considering the growing interest, the objective of this work was to determine which are the situations where the repair of defective direct restorations seems to be the best alternative of treatment and what are the steps of this treatment. To do this, a bibliographic search was performed using the Pubmed database, followed by a manual search in the bibliography of the included studies and in the "Journal of Dentistry" with the key words: "Dental Restoration Repair"; «Repair of Composite Resin»; «Amalgam repair». Only studies published in the last 10 years have been included in English, Portuguese, French and Spanish. The repair has several indications, however it has some limitations. And there is still no protocol that is recognized as "standard" for repairing defective direct restorations.
