Abstract(s)
Introdução: A Síndrome de Down (SD), é uma anomalia genética, caracterizada pela presença de um cromossoma extra no par 21, prejudicando o desenvolvimento das capacidades intelectuais e motoras. Desse modo, a intervenção fisioterapêutica é importante na melhoria ou preservação das funcionalidades das crianças com SD. Objetivo: Determinar os melhores protocolos de treino em passadeira para o desenvolvimento da marcha em crianças com SD. Metodologia: Pesquisa de artigos nas bases de dados/motores de busca Pubmed, PEDro e Web of Science, incluindo estudos randomizados controlados, experimentais ou quasi-experimentais, de coorte, observacionais ou casos controlo, de livre acesso, amostra com indivíduos até aos 18 anos e realizados em humanos, excluindo-se artigos de revisão, artigos que não fossem de livre acesso e cuja amostra fosse constituída por indivíduos adultos. Resultados: Obtiveram-se 1622 artigos, dos quais 6 foram incluídos para o estudo, de acordo com os critérios estabelecidos, com um total de 193 participantes, com idades entre os 9 meses e 10 anos, tendo-se verificado que os artigos apresentam boa qualidade metodológica. Conclusão: Concluiu-se, que o treino em passadeira promove melhorias na marcha em crianças com SD, especialmente protocolos de treino individualizados com alta intensidade.
Introduction: Down Syndrome (DS) is a genetic anomaly, characterized by the presence of an extra chromosome in the pair 21, leading to an impairment in the development of intellectual and motor skills. Thus, physiotherapeutic intervention plays an important role in improving or preserving the functionalities of children with DS. Objective: To determine the best treadmill training protocols for gait development in children with DS. Methodology: Articles search in the databases/search engines Pubmed, PEDro and Web of Science, including randomized controlled trials, experimental or quasi-experimental, cohort and observational studies and case control, with open access, a sample of individuals over 18 years and performed in humans, excluding reviews, articles without open access and articles with samples constituted by adults. Results: 1622 articles were obtained of which 6 were included for the study, according to establish criteria, with a total of 193 participants aged 9 months and 10 years, and with good methodological quality. Conclusion: In conclusion, treadmill training promotes gait in children with DS, especially high intensity, individualized training protocols.
