Abstract(s)
Este trabalho de conclusão de curso foi realizado com o propósito de abordar um tema importante da literatura pouco estudado atualmente. Acredita-se que os biótipos espessos são os mais favoráveis para a reabilitação com implantes dentários permitindo obter maiores taxas de sucesso, enquanto que os biótipos gengivais finos são os mais desfavoráveis. Além do mais, a avaliação detalhada do biótipo periodontal antes ou durante o ato cirúrgico é uma prática pouco realizada pelos profissionais médicos dentistas. Na presente dissertação teve como objectivo avaliar a influência do biótipo gengival: fino e espesso na sobrevivência dos implantes dentários através da associação da perda óssea marginal com os tipos de biótipos gengivais e os biótipos com a peri-implantite, através de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, realizada na base de dados da Pubmed, que resultou em um total de 26 artigos, dos quais, apenas 8 foram relevantes para compor os resultados. Posto isto, constata-se que: não se pode dizer que e o biótipo gengival pode ser um fator de risco direto para perda óssea ao redor dos implantes dentários, porém é um fator de risco para peri-implantite, que dependendo da sua gravidade pode levar ao insucesso da reabilitação com implantes dentários.

It is believed that the thick biotypes are the most favorable for rehabilitation with dental implants allowing to obtain higher success rates. Whereas the thin gingival biotypes are the most unfavorable. In addition to the detailed evaluation of the periodontal biotype before or during the surgical procedure is a practice little performed by the dentists. The present dissertation intends to evaluate the influence of the gingival biotype: thick or thin In the survival of dental implants through the association of marginal bone loss with the two types of gingival biotypes and the biotypes with peri-implantitis, Through a bibliographic research conducted through the Pubmed database, which resulted in a total of 26 articles, of which, only 8 articles that were relevant to compose the results. That depending on its severity can lead to the failure of rehabilitation with dental implants.
