O presente estudo de investigação, desenvolvido na área de Saúde Mental, foi realizado no âmbito da unidade curricular de projeto de graduação, inserida no 2º semestre do 4º ano da licenciatura de Enfermagem, e que serve como requisito para finalização da mesma na Escola Superior de Saúde da Universidade Fernando Pessoa.
Reconhece-se a importância da saúde mental na qualidade de vida das pessoas. Os adultos jovens, pelas mudanças, físicas, mentais e sociais, encontram-se suscetíveis a alterações que poderão provocar sérios desequilíbrios na sua saúde. Quando alterada, trata-se de um fenómeno pouco fácil de lidar, tanto pelo próprio como para os que lhe são mais próximos. Com a crescente abundância de casos na era contemporânea, este fenómeno tende a progredir de forma negativa. Existem dois dos fatores que podem influenciar a alteração da saúde mental dos adultos jovens, sendo eles, a parentalidade e o desenvolvimento tecnológico. Assim sendo, este estudo pretende identificar a produção científica existente sobre a influência destes dois fatores na saúde mental dos adultos jovens.
Cientes da importância da temática pela vivência desta etapa da vida, pela experiência em ensinos clínicos e pela consulta bibliográfica, compreende-se a relevância do presente estudo.
No que se refere à metodologia, realizou-se uma revisão integrativa da literatura, recorrendo aos descritores Parental Education, Technological Development, Mental Health, Student e Higher Education. A pesquisa realizada limitou- se ao agregador B-on com acesso através da Universidade Fernando Pessoa, no período de 1 de Maio a 1 de Junho de 2019. Recorreu-se a uma pesquisa de documentos em texto integral, de acesso gratuito, publicados entre 2014 e 2019 em português, inglês, francês e espanhol. Foram encontrados 3133 artigos, sendo incluídos apenas 12 artigos, por responderem aos objetivos do estudo e aos critérios de inclusão.
As principais conclusões que resultam deste trabalho mostram que, efetivamente há influência da educação parental e do desenvolvimento tecnológico na saúde mental dos adultos jovens, tendo o enfermeiro um trabalho importante e efetivo na monitorização e adoção de estratégias para a prevenção dos referidos desequilíbrios.
This study was carried out within the scope of the Curricular Unit of the 4th year Degree in Nursing, School of Health of the Fernando Pessoa University and was performed as a requirement for its completion. The importance of mental health in people's quality of life is recognized. Young adults, due to, physical, mental and social changes, are susceptible to alterations that may cause serious imbalances in their health. When altered, it is a phenomenon that is not easy to deal with either for yourself or those closest to you. With the increasing abundance of cases in the contemporary era, this phenomenon tends to progress in a negative way. There are two of the factors that can influence the change in mental health of young adults, namely parenting and technological development. Therefore, this study aims to identify the existing scientific production on the influence of these two factors on the mental health of young adults. Aware of the importance of the theme through the experience of this stage of life, the experience in clinical teaching and the bibliographic consultation, we understand the relevance of this study. Regarding the methodology, an integrative literature review was performed using the descriptors Parental Education, Technological Development, Mental Health, Student and Higher Education. The research was limited to the B-on aggregator with access through Fernando Pessoa University from 1 of May to 1 of June 2019. The research was made by full-text, free-access documents published between 2014 and 2019 in Portuguese, English, French and Spanish. A total of 3133 articles were found, including only 12 articles, as they met the study objectives and inclusion criteria. The main conclusions that result from this work show that, effectively, there is influence of parental education and technological development on the mental health of young adults, therefore, the nurse has an important and effective work in monitoring and adopting strategies for the prevention of such imbalances.
