Abstract(s)
Objetivo: Sumariar a evidência acerca dos efeitos do treino pliométrico na performance de jogadores de basquetebol. Metodologia: Pesquisa computadorizada nas bases de dados PubMed, PEDro e Web of Science de modo a selecionar estudos randomizados controlados que avaliassem o efeito de um programa de treino pliométrico em diferentes parâmetros de performance de atletas de basquetebol. Resultados: 8 estudos cumpriram os critérios de elegibilidade definidos, tendo apresentado os resultados para um total de 207 participantes e uma média de classificação metodológica de 5,6/10 na escala de PEDro. Os atletas sujeitos ao programa de treino pliométrico apresentaram melhorias significativas em diferentes parâmetros avaliados, capacidade de salto, equilíbrio, sprint, agilidade, força, capacidade de encestar e drible. Conclusão: Os estudos incluídos sugerem que o treino pliométrico associado a treino standard de basquetebol ou treino de fortalecimento é um método eficaz para melhorar a performance de atletas de basquetebol.

Conclusion: Evidence suggests that plyometric training associated with either standard basketball or strengthening training is an effective method to improve basketball athletes’ performance.
