| dc.description.abstract | O objetivo desta dissertação é o de realizar uma revisão da literatura sobre a pré-alargamento cervical do sistema de canais radiculares, ressaltando os benefícios, as limitações e apresentar alguns instrumentos disponíveis demonstrando a importância desta etapa na instrumentação dos canais radiculares. Entre os benefícios podemos citar: maior precisão na aferição do comprimento de trabalho e calibre apical, menor extrusão de detritos, redução da curvatura e interferências dentinárias permitindo um acesso mais direto à região apical. O risco de fratura do instrumento rotatório e perfuração do dente podem ser diminuídos pela preparação cervical aliada ao conhecimento da anatomia dentária e à correta seleção do instrumento. Os instrumentos rotatórios de níquel-titânio facilitam a preparação cervical com eficiente capacidade de corte, mantendo o canal centrado com menor quantidade de defeitos, elevando a qualidade e a segurança do tratamento endodôntico. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The objective of this dissertation is to perform a review of the literature on cervical pre-enlargement of the root canal system, highlighting the benefits, limitations and present some available instruments demonstrating the importance of this stage in root canal instrumentation. Among the benefits we can mention: greater precision in the measurement of working length and apical caliber, less extrusion of debris, reduction of curvature and dentin interferences allowing a more direct access to the apical region. The risk of fracture of the rotating instrument and the perforation of the tooth can be reduced by the cervical preparation combined with the knowledge of the dental anatomy and the correct selection of the instrument. Nickel-titanium rotary instruments facilitate cervical preparation with efficient cutting ability, keeping the channel centered with fewer defects, raising the quality and safety of endodontic treatment. | pt_PT |
