| dc.description.abstract | A obstipação crónica é um dos motivos de atendimento mais frequentes em farmácia de oficina. A parte metodológica é sempre um dos grandes desafios para a realização de uma dissertação. Neste trabalho procedeu-se á pesquisa de artigos científicos e outras publicações, num período compreendido entre os meses de abril a setembro de 2017, utilizando como principais fontes de pesquisa científica, motores de busca específicos como o PubMed, o Science Direct, b-On e Web of Science, com uma janela temporal entre 2000-2017. Foram ainda pesquisados o Harrison´s principles of internal medicine, Current medical treatment and diagnosis e A vida secreta dos intestinos. O tratamento da obstipação visa melhorar as condições de vida dos indivíduos portadores de obstipação crónica. Neste trabalho será feita uma revisão da sua definição, prevalência, fisiologia, fisiopatologia e terapêuticas farmacológicas e não farmacológicas. O conhecimento destes aspetos, melhora não só a compreensão do problema como fornece orientação para a terapêutica. O farmacêutico deve orientar e aconselhar os seus utentes duma forma fundamentada e esclarecida. Neste âmbito e porque a automedicação também é um aspeto importante neste distúrbio, cabe-lhe saber as causas, obter a história clínica e conhecer os tratamentos farmacológicos ou não de modo a satisfazer as necessidades do seu utente. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Chronic constipation is a common disorder assisted by the community pharmacy services. The methodological aspect is always one of the greatest challenges of a dissertation. Therefore, a literature search of scientific papers and other publications was conducted between April and September 2017, using scientific sources, specific search engines such as PubMed, Science Direct, b-On and Web of Science, with an temporal window between 2000-2017.Harrison´s principles of internal medicine, Current medical treatment and diagnosis and A vida secreta dos intestinos were also searched. The treatmentaims to improve the living conditions of patients who suffer from chronic constipation. In this paper a revision of its definition, prevalence, physiology, physiopathology and pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies will be provided. The knowledge of these aspects will give not only a better understanding of the problem, but also indications on its therapy. The pharmacist must guide and advise the patients in a clear and informed manner. In this context, and because self-medication is also an important aspect of this disorder, the pharmacist should know the causes, collect information about the patient’s clinical history, compile all the pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies in order to satisfy the patient’s needs. | pt_PT |
