| dc.description.abstract | Com esta comunicação procuramos compreender melhor as actuais relações de poder latino-americanas tendo em conta a História do Paraguai, contexto fundamental do romance Hijo de hombre, de Augusto Roa Bastos. A obra apresenta uma versão alternativa à História oficial abarcando o período entre 1910 e 1935, época em que se destacam a revolta agrária de 1912 e a Guerra do Chaco. | dc.description.abstract | With this paper we seek to understand the Latin-American power relations in present days, considering Paraguay history, fundamental context of Augusto Roa Bastos’s romance Hijo de hombre. His work presents an alternative version of the official history between 1910 and 1935, when the agrarian revolution of 1912 and the Chaco War are the main events.
