Hoje em dia, os pacientes que não estão satisfeitos com o seu sorriso natural, podem
fazer uma modificação, corrigindo problemas estéticos como a forma e posição dos
dentes através de facetas cerâmicas.
Deste modo, pode concluir-se que as facetas sem preparo representam uma alternativa
segura, rápida, reversível e conservadora da estética, da função e da biologia dos dentes.
Proporcionam resultados agradáveis e compensadores relativamente à estética.
As facetas sem preparo são uma alternativa não invasiva às facetas tradicionais,
permitindo que se altere a aparência do sorriso enquanto se conserva o máximo possível
de esmalte dentário.
Este trabalho pretende com base numa revisão narrativa da literatura, fazer um
enquadramento das facetas cerâmicas sem preparo na Medicina Dentária e analisar a sua
relação com as preocupações estéticas preconizadas pela sociedade atual.
A pesquisa bibliográfica foi realizada através dos motores de busca: PubMed/Medline,
Science Direct, Google, biblioteca on-line da Universidade Fernando Pessoa.
Nowadays, patients who are not satisfied with their natural smile, can make a “make over”, correcting aesthetic problems like the shape and position of the teeth through ceramic facets. In this way, it can be concluded that ceramic facets represent a safe, fast, reversible and conservative alternative to the aesthetics, function and biology of the teeth. They also provide very pleasant and compensating results regarding aesthetics. Unprepared facets are a non-invasive alternative to the traditional facets, allowing you to change the appearance of the smile while preserving as much dental enamel as possible. This work intends based on a narrative revision of the literature, to make a framing of ceramic facets without preparation in Dental Medicine and to analyze its relation with the aesthetic concerns advocated by the current society. For the elaboration of this work, a search was made in the databases: PubMed/Medline, Science Direct, Google, online library of Fernando Pessoa.
