| dc.description.abstract | O presente trabalho tem como objetivo principal verificar a existência de relação entre a Motivação, o Autoconceito e o Suporte Social e Grupo de Pares, considerando o sexo, a idade e o rendimento escolar (notas do 3º Período, a Português e Matemática), em alunos do 7º Ano de Escolaridade. A amostra é constituída por 170 participantes com idades compreendidas entre os 12 e os 15 anos (M = 12,48; DP = 0,740). Os instrumentos utilizados foram o Inventário de Variáveis Intervenientes na Aprendizagem (VIA), KIDSCREEN – 27, consideramos também as notas escolares do 3º Período, a Português e a Matemática. Os principais resultados alcançados são: Existe relação positiva e significativa entre a motivação e o autoconceito, não apresentando estes dois construtos uma relação positiva com o grupo de pares. Verificamos que existem diferenças na motivação em função do sexo, no entanto, o autoconceito e o grupo de pares não apresentam diferenças entre rapazes e raparigas. A análise das diferenças na motivação, no autoconceito e no grupo de pares em função da idade não revelam diferenças estatisticamente significativas. Para a motivação e para o autoconceito verificamos que existe relação positiva com o rendimento académico, sendo significativa a Português. | dc.description.abstract | The present work has as its main objective verify the existence of relationship between Motivation, the Self-Concept and Social Support and Peer Group, whereas the sex, age and school performance (notes of the third period, the Portuguese and Mathematics), students in the seventh grade of schooling. The sample consists of 170 participants aged between 12 and 15 years (M = 12.48; DP = 0.740). The instruments used were the Inventory of Variables Involved in Learning (VIA), KIDSCREEN-27, we also feel school grades of the third Period, the Portuguese and Mathematics. The main achievements are: Positive and significant relationship exists between the motivation and self-concept, not presenting these two constructs a positive relationship with the peer group. We note that there are differences in motivation as a function of gender, however, the self-concept and the peer group not present differences between boys and girls. The analysis of differences in motivation, in the self-concept and in the peer group on the basis of age does not reveal statistically significant differences. For motivation and self-concept that exist positive relationship with academic performance, being significant to Portuguese. However, we note that there is no relationship between the peer group and academic performance. | por |
