| dc.description.abstract | O Comprimento Médio de Enunciado é calculado através da divisão dos morfemas ou palavras pelos enunciados produzidos pela criança. A comparação do valor obtido na avaliação a um dado indivíduo com o valor de referência naquele local para determinada faixa etária, serve para observar o défice linguístico relativamente às expectativas para determinada idade. O estudo apresentado tem como principal objetivo analisar o Comprimento Médio de Enunciado em morfemas e palavras de crianças dos 3 aos 5 anos de idade e relacionar os dados obtidos com três diferentes variáveis: idade, sexo e escolaridade dos progenitores. A amostra foi constituída por 34 crianças, sendo que 12 tinham 3 anos, 9 tinham 4 anos e 13 tinham 5 anos de idade. No que diz respeito aos critérios de inclusão, pretendia-se que a língua materna fosse o Português Europeu, que não existissem diagnósticos clínicos atribuídos a condicionar a fala e linguagem da criança e que o seu local de residência fosse Amarante ou Felgueiras. Os dados foram recolhidos através da aplicação do Teste de Articulação CPUP: Sons em Palavras e do contar de uma história a partir de três imagens cedidas de forma consecutiva. Através da análise dos resultados, concluiu-se que o Comprimento Médio de Enunciado em palavras e morfemas é uma medida evolutiva, estando relacionada com a faixa etária em questão e não possui associações estatisticamente significativas com o sexo dos avaliados e grau de escolaridade dos progenitores. Os valores encontrados nesta pesquisa contribuem para a deteção de défices de linguagem e intervenção precoce, permitindo a comparação dos resultados da avaliação das crianças com os dados de referência aqui relatados. The Average Length of Utterance is achieved by dividing the morpheme or words to the utterances produced by the child. The comparison of the value obtained in the evaluation of a given individual with the reference value at that location for a given age, aims to observe the linguistic deficit in relation to the expectations for certain age. The main objective of the present study is to analyze the Average Length of Utterance in morphemes and words for children from 3 to 5 years old and to relate the data obtained with three different variables: age, sex and school education of the parents. The sample was constituted by 34 children, 12 were 3 years old, 9 were 4 years old and 13 were 5 years old. Concerning the inclusion criteria, it was intended that the child had the European Portuguese as the mother tongue, there were no clinical diagnoses assigned to constrain the speech and language of the child and his place of residence was Amarante or Felgueiras. Data were collected using the CPUP’s Test of Articulation: Sounds in Words and through a story told from three images ceded consecutively. By analyzing the results, it was concluded that the Average Length of Utterance in words and morphemes is an evolutionary measure, related to the age group in question and has no statistically significant associations with sex of the children and educational level of the parents. The values found in this study contribute to the detection of deficits in language and early intervention, allowing the comparison of the evaluation results of children with reference data reported here. | por |
