Abstract(s)
A violência doméstica, assim como a violência no namoro, é um fenómeno que tem contando com uma grande visibilidade a nível científico e social, constituindo-se um tema recorrente no nosso dia-a-dia. Este fenómeno psicossocial abrange todas as classes sociais, géneros, culturas (Caridade, 2011). Desse modo, à semelhança da violência doméstica, a violência no namoro é um problema a nível global que afeta muitos jovens.
Posto isto, o Projeto de Graduação surge como uma proposta de investigação, cujo principal objetivo se focaliza no desejo de tentar perceber quais as motivações dos jovens, que frequentam um curso superior, ao praticarem atos de violência interpessoal. Consumada a revisão da literatura, o foco do projecto de investigação unifica-se na análise da taxa de incidência de violência nas relações de intimidade e possíveis motivos inerentes, em jovens universitários.
O presente trabalho está dividido em duas partes: a primeira parte é referente ao enquandramento teórico, aludindo à revisão da literatura, e a segunda parte decorre da exposição de um estudo empírico, fundamentando-se na aplicação de inquéritos por questionário a estudantes universitários, na região do Porto. Uma das razões pela qual a zona de eleição foi o distrito do Porto, deve-se a este configurar-se, em termos absolutos, segundo o RASI (2018), como um dos distritos com maior número de registo de ocorrências de violência doméstica.
Domestic violence, like dating violence, is a phenomenon that has had a high scientific and social visibility and is a recurring theme in our daily lives. This psychosocial phenomenon covers all social classes, genders, cultures (Caridade, 2011). Thus, like domestic violence, dating violence is a global problem that affects many young people. That said, the Graduation Project emerges as a research proposal, whose main objective is focused on the desire to try to understand the motivations of young people, who attend higher education, when practicing acts of interpersonal violence. After reviewing the literature, the focus of the research project is unified in analyzing the incidence rate of violence in intimate relationships and possible inherent motives in college students. The present work is divided into two parts: the first part refers to the theoretical framework, alluding to the literature review, and the second part to the exposition of an empirical study, based on the application of questionnaire surveys to university students in Porto region. One of the reasons why the district of choice was the district of Porto is that it is, in absolute terms, according to the RASI (2018), as one of the districts with the highest number of occurrences of domestic violence.
