A dieta assume um papel importante no que diz respeito à manutenção de uma boa
saúde e qualidade de vida, bem como, na prevenção de algumas doenças oncológicas.
A DM tem vindo a ser estudada e descrita como um potencial factor para a diminuição
do risco de cancro.
O presente trabalho tem como objectivo: estudar a dieta mediterrânica e compreender
o seu papel no contexto preventivo da doença oncológica.
Foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica nos motores de busca B-on , Elsevier,
Science-Direct e Pubmed, no espaço temporal de 2004 a 2017, utilizando como
palavras-chave: “mediterranean diet”, “oral cancer”, “diet”, “cancer”,
“mediterranean food”, “oral oncology”, “risk of cancer”, “mediterranean
countries”, “mediterranean”.
Após a leitura e reflexão do conteúdo desenvolvido nesta revisão, é possível
comprovar na generalidade o efeito benéfico dos componentes presentes nos
alimentos que fazem parte de uma dieta tipicamente mediterrânica.
Fica claro o interesse científico pela temática e é notória a necessidade de realização
de mais estudos com vista a melhor elucidar e especificar com maior clareza quais os
componentes nutricionais motivadores de uma prevenção oncológica eficiente.
Diet have an important role in maintaining good health and quality of life, as well as in the prevention of some oncological diseases. DM has been studied and described as a potential mitigating factor for reducing the risk of cancer. The objective of this review is to study the Mediterranean diet and to understand the role in the preventive context of the oncological disease. A bibliographic search was carried out in several search engines and databases such as B-on , Elsevier, Science-Direct and Pubmed, in the temporal space from 2004 to 2017 using the following keywords: “mediterranean diet”, “oral cancer”, “diet”, “cancer”, “mediterranean food”, “oral oncology”, “risk of cancer”, “mediterranean countries”, “mediterranean”. After the reading and reflection of the content developed in this review, it is possible to prove in generality the beneficial effect of the components present in foods that are part of a typical Mediterranean diet. It is clear the scientific interest in the subject and the need for further studies is clear to better elucidate and to specify more clearly the nutritional components that motivate an efficient cancer prevention.
