| dc.description.abstract | A delinquência juvenil é um fenómeno social de grande preocupação visto que tem início na fase da adolescência e dadas as suas consequências negativas, nomeadamente, comportamentos como a agressão, abuso de substâncias, furtos, entre outros. A presente investigação teve como objetivo principal conhecer os desafios e especificidades inerentes à intervenção na delinquência juvenil, a partir das perspetivas dos profissionais com competência para tal. Na referida investigação participaram sete profissionais que estão em contacto direto com jovens delinquentes. Estes apresentavam idades compreendidas entre os vinte e sete e os quarenta e cinco (M= 32 anos; D.P. =7.6). Os participantes foram alvo de entrevista individual. Subjacente à presente investigação está o método qualitativo. Constatou-se que a delinquência juvenil é um comportamento antissocial e nem sempre transgride as normas jurídicas e apresenta maior prevalência na adolescência, com mais intensidade nos rapazes. Além disso, os principais fatores de risco para os comportamentos delinquentes, que não são atos isolados, são os jovens que pertencem a famílias desestruturadas e que têm insucesso escolar. Face à compreensão deste fenómeno social, através dos testemunhos da nossa amostra, constatamos que as respostas sociais para resolver e prevenir tais comportamentos, deve incidir num trabalho conjunto entre a família, os profissionais que trabalham no âmbito deste problema e a escola. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Juvenile delinquency is a social phenomenon of great concern since it begins in the adolescence phase and given its negative consequences, namely, behaviors such as aggression, substance abuse, theft, among others. The main objective of the present investigation was to know the challenges and specificities inherent to intervention in juvenile delinquency, from the perspectives of professionals with competence to do it. Seven professionals who are in direct contact with young offenders participated in the investigation. These were between the ages of twenty-seven and forty-five (M= 32 anos; S.D.=7.6). Participants were interviewed individually. Underlying the present investigation is the qualitative method. It was verified that juvenile delinquency is an antisocial behavior and doesn´t always violate legal norms and presents a higher prevalence in adolescence, with more intensity in boys. In addition, the main risk factors for delinquent behavior, which are not isolated acts, are young people who belong to unstructured families and who have failed school. Faced with the understanding of this social phenomenon, through the testimonies of our sample, we find that the social responses to solve and prevent such behavior, should focus on a joint work between the family, the professionals working in this problem and the school. | pt_PT |
