A violência doméstica contra a mulher trata-se de um problema de ordem social, sendo que muitos episódios de violência ainda continuam encobertos no âmbito doméstico, seja em razão da dependência econômica, da dependência psicológica, dos filhos, pelo medo, pelo descaso por parte das autoridades públicas, bem como, pela vergonha em denunciar para romper com seus obstáculos. Diante disso, este estudo tem como metodologia de pesquisa, o estudo qualitativo, com um viés exploratório, e teve como objetivo geral: analisar se a atuação policial é capaz de influenciar a percepção pessoal e social de segurança e/ou insegurança da mulher vítima de violência doméstica e se isso interfere na defesa de seus direitos, mantendo-a vulnerável à situação de violência. E, como objetivos específicos: I) identificar como os policiais civis compreendem o fenômeno da violência doméstica contra a mulher, e como, a partir da compreensão desses profissionais, se realiza o atendimento às mulheres que buscam a instituição; II) identificar as principais causas da precariedade do atendimento policial nos casos envolvendo violência doméstica contra a mulher; III) compreender se o exercício da atividade policial é capaz de influenciar no rompimento do ciclo de violência; IV) analisar se a Polícia Civil responde às necessidades e às expectativas das mulheres vítimas de violência doméstica. Deste estudo, houve duas amostras, as dos policiais e as das vítimas de violência doméstica. Participaram cerca de 30 policiais civis e 19 mulheres vítimas de violência doméstica, sendo a amostra reunida por meio de um processo de amostragem não probabilístico e por conveniência, dado tratarem de sujeitos que, para participar, teriam de preencher determinados critérios estabelecidos na investigação. Para a coleta de dados, utilizou-se como método o inquérito, através de entrevista gravada, cujos dados foram posteriormente transcritos para a análise de conteúdo categorial. Conclui-se com essa investigação, que a capacitação e qualificação dos policiais civis que atuam em casos envolvendo a violência doméstica contra a mulher, precisam ser cada vez mais fomentadas pelos órgãos de segurança pública. É perceptível a necessidade de um atendimento cada vez mais especializado e humanizado, uma vez que poderá influenciar diretamente na decisão das mulheres vítimas, oferecendo-lhes segurança para romperem o ciclo de violência.
Domestic violence against women is a social problem, and many episodes of violence are still covered in the domestic sphere, whether due to economic dependence, psychological dependence, children, fear, neglect on the part of public authorities, as well as, for the shame of denouncing to break their obstacles. Therefore, this study has as a research methodology, the qualitative study, with an exploratory bias, and had as its general objective: to analyze whether police action is capable of influencing the personal and social perception of security and / or insecurity of women victims of domestic violence and if it interferes with the defense of your rights, keeping you vulnerable to the situation of violence. And, as specific objectives: I) to identify how the civil police understand the phenomenon of domestic violence against women, and how, from the understanding of these professionals, care is provided to women who seek the institution; II) to identify the main causes of precarious police assistance in cases involving domestic violence against women; III) understand whether the exercise of police activity is capable of influencing the break of the cycle of violence; IV) analyze whether the Civil Police responds to the needs and expectations of women victims of domestic violence. From this study, there were two samples, those of police officers and those of victims of domestic violence. About 30 civil police officers and 19 women victims of domestic violence participated, and the sample was gathered through a non-probabilistic sampling process and for convenience, as they deal with subjects who, in order to participate, would have to fulfill certain criteria established in the investigation. For data collection, the survey method was used, through recorded interview, whose data were later transcribed for the analysis of categorical content. It is concluded with this investigation, that the qualification and qualification of the civil policemen that work in cases involving domestic violence against women, need to be more and more promoted by the public security organs. It is noticeable the need for an increasingly specialized and humanized service, since it can directly influence the decision of women victims, offering them security to break the cycle of violence.
