O Tratamento Endodôntico consiste na remoção da polpa dentária infectada e na eliminação dos
microorganismos que provocam infeção. Este tratamento pode ser realizado numa sessão única ou
então em múltiplas sessões, que podem ou não ser acompanhadas pelo uso de Medicação
Intracanalar.
O objectivo de utilização da Medicação Intracanalar é o auxílio das soluções irrigantes na
desinfeção dos canais radiculares.
Para a realização desta revisão bibliográfica foi efectuada uma pesquisa nas bases de dados
científicas PubMed, B-on e ScienceDirect.
O objetivo deste trabalho é ao analisar as diversas opiniões entre autores, conseguir perceber se
realmente é indicado ou não o uso de Medicação Intracanalar e qual a mais eficaz na prática clínica.
Conclui-se, que é um assunto ainda muito controverso.
