As culturas celulares apareceram no sĂ©culo XX e tĂȘm vindo a evoluir como mĂ©todo de
estudo e anĂĄlise de patologias e de novos medicamentos para as combater.
Com o passar dos anos surgiram diferentes métodos de cultivo de células diversificando
assim as culturas celulares em mono-camada, suspensas e imobilizadas.
Um dos propósitos das culturas celulares é a manipulação das células de modo a
permitir a visualização das alteraçÔes celulares como o envelhecimento da célula
(senescĂȘncia), a apoptose, a necrose e a autofagia da cĂ©lula.
Este mĂ©todo tem provado ser Ăștil tanto no diagnostico e tratamento de vĂĄrias patologias
como em doenças oncológicas, neuro-degenerativas ou do sistema imunitårio.
Cell cultures appeared in the twentieth century and have been evolving as a study and analysis method of diseases and new medications to fight them. Over the years there have been different methods of cell cultivation, diversifying as monolayer cell culture, suspended and immobilized. One of the purposes of cell cultures is the manipulation of cells where cellular changes can be seen like the aging of the cell (senescence), apotheosis, necrosis and autophagy. This method has proven to be useful in the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases such as oncological diseases, neuro-degenerative and immune.
