| dc.description.abstract | The Museo do Pobo Galego (Galician People Museum) opened in 1977. Since then it has been shapening rooms with different themes, but always within its objectives: to show the several faces of the Galician culture. Due to its extension and importance within the museum, we should point out the “Sala del Mar” (The Sea Room). This article is an attempt to describe how the contents of this room have been organized and which variables were at play in this process. Our analysis starts with the changes that the room has undergone relating them with the evolution of the concept of the museum as a whole. O Museo do Pobo Galego abriu em 1977. Desde essa altura surgiram salas subordinadas a diferentes temas mas sempre cumprindo um mesmo objectivo: mostrar as diversas faces da cultura Galega. Devido ao espaço ocupado e à sua importância dentro do museu, torna-se relevante dar uma atenção particular à sala do mar. Este artigo pretende descrever a forma segundo a qual os elementos desta sala foram organizados e quais as variáveis que se tiveram em consideração nessa mesma organização. A nossa análise revela as mudanças que tiveram lugar na sala do mar relacionando-as com a evolução do conceito do museu como um todo. | por |
