Abstract(s)
A morte é um fator inevitável e parece estar presente ao longo da nossa vida, no entanto sucessivamente evitada. Falar sobre esta, torna-se ainda um incómodo, irracional e ilógico, pois cada um à sua maneira adquire as suas próprias estratégias para a enfrentar.
A sociedade atual vive a morte num contexto de rejeição e negação, retirando cada vez mais do seu quotidiano pessoal e familiar e quando a enfrenta é grande parte das vezes no hospital.
O enfermeiro, perante determinado fenómeno é o profissional de saúde que devido às suas funções lida com muita frequência com a morte no âmbito do seu trabalho. Mas este, como ser bio-psico-social terá que adotar métodos eficazes adaptativos, outrora apreendidos, para enfrentar este tabu.
As estratégias adaptativas dos enfermeiros face à situação do confronto com a morte do utente, irão moderar o impacto da situação e gerar um coping adaptativo para superar os acontecimentos condicionados pela vida.
Perante a situação, salienta-se a importância de procurar, conhecer, explorar e responder de forma adequada à seguinte questão: “Quais são as estratégias de coping apresentadas pelos alunos do curso de Enfermagem do 3º e 4º ano da faculdade Ciências da Saúde da Universidade Fernando Pessoa – Porto face à morte em ensino clínico?”
O principal objetivo é conhecer as respostas desta população, pois, consideramos que só estudando este processo é que poderemos que poderemos chegar a uma conclusão sobre o que acontece em contexto clínico e considerar que a morte como um processo natural no percurso do enfermeiro.
Trata-se então, de um projeto de estudo do tipo misto, ou seja com uma vertente quantitativa e outra vertente qualitativa. O estudo é realizado por questionário auto-administrados utilizando a plataforma da google docs.
A análise de dados foi realizada com recurso ao programa estatístico SPSS versão 22 (IBM Corporation, 2013).
Espera-se com a elaboração deste trabalho, desvendar os significados do coping dos enfermeiros perante a morte do utente em várias unidades do plano curricular do curso da licenciatura de enfermagem.

Today's society death lives in a context of rejection and denial, removing more and more of their daily personal and family and when the face is most of the time in the hospital. The nurse before certain phenomenon is the health professional who due to their duties handles very often with death, in the framework of their work. But this, as bio-psycho-social will have to adopt effective adaptive methods, once seized, to tackle this taboo. The adaptive strategies of nurses to face confrontation situation with the death of the user, will moderate the impact of the situation, and generate an adaptive coping to overcome the events conditioned by life. Given the situation, it´s highlights the importance of seeking, meet, explore and respond appropriately to the question: "What are the coping strategies presented by the students of the 3rd and 4th year Nursing course of Health Sciences University Fernando Pessoa - Porto face to death in clinical education "? The main objective is to know the answers of this population, therefore consider that only studying this process is that we can we can reach a conclusion about what happens in clinical surrounding context and consider the death as a natural process in the nurse path. This is a mixed type of study, with a quantitative component and a qualitative aspect. The study is carried out by self-administered questionnaire using the platform Docs. The data analysis was performed using the SPSS version 22 (IBM Corporation, 2013). It is hoped that the preparation of this work, coping unravel the meanings of nurses before the death of the user in various units of the curriculum of the course of the nursing degree.
