Abstract(s)
Joint temporomandibular disorders are changes in normality found in both symptomatic and asymptomatic patients. The temporomandibular joint should be evaluated by computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging methods of temporomandibular joint, as a diagnostic complement of these disorders. The aim of this study was to investigate the signs of degenerative disorders observed in computed tomography and disorders of the condyle-disc complex, which were diagnosed by magnetic resonance imaging of the temporomandibular joint. The methodology used was an analytical-descriptive review of the scientific literature using scientific papers listed in databases over a period of 17 years. After reviewing the literature, it can be concluded that the diagnosis of temporomandibular joint disorders can be complemented with computed tomography to evaluate bone alterations and magnetic resonance imaging to evaluate changes in soft tissues.
