Abstract(s)

Due to the complexity of this mycobacterium, its important to develop powerful new techniques for its detection and identification in order to obtain more concrete responses in the association of this mycobacterial subspecies with Crohn's disease. In this paper, through a literature review, it describes, firstly in a general context, the taxonomy and general characteristics of mycobacteria, focusing on an approach to MAP, its ability to cause inflammatory bowel disease, the diagnosis and treatment of this disease, and the importance that this subspecies may have in the development of Crohn's disease in particular. Achieving total cure for CD patients would be a remarkable development in the medical world. This requires further studies and more objective conclusions.
