INTRODUÇÃO: A Terapia da Fala é uma disciplina que está em pleno desenvolvimento, sendo uma das sub áreas de atuação no âmbito da Mioterapia Estética da Face. A Eletromiografia e o Biofeedback surgem como instrumentos válidos no diagnóstico e ajuste da intervenção às necessidades dos pacientes.
OBJETIVOS: Realizou-se um estudo exploratório que pretende verificar qual o contributo da Eletromiografia de Superfície e Biofeedback na Mioterapia Estética Facial, bem como o trabalho que o Terapeuta da Fala pode realizar neste âmbito.
MATERIAL E MÉTODOS: Avaliaram-se cinco voluntários, através de medições antropométricas faciais, eletromiográficas da contração do frontal e caracterização de hábitos pessoais e antecedentes relevantes para a saúde facial.
CONCLUSÕES: Existe uma relação direta entre a atividade elétrica muscular dos participantes e o seu nível de rugas no frontal, sendo o nível de significância das correlações significativa (p <0,05).

The EMG Biofeedback appear as valid instruments for the diagnosis and intervention adjust to patients' needs. GOALS: Was conducted an exploratory study that aims to verify the contribution of Surface Electromyography in Myotherapy and Biofeedback Facial Aesthetics, and the work that Speech Therapist can perform in this area. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Were evaluated five volunteers, through facial anthropometric measurements, the front contraction of electromyographic and characterization of personal habits and relevant background for facial health. CONCLUSIONS: there is a direct relationship between muscle electrical activity of the participants and their level of wrinkles on the front, and the level of significance of the correlations is significant at 0, 05 (p<0, 05).
