Abstract(s)
Objetivo: A capsulite adesiva pode ser considerada uma doença inflamatória e com alto
índice de acometimento da população. Tem o tratamento conduzido com fisioterapia
convencional, mas ainda não há consenso na literatura sobre a origem e demais formas
de tratamento. Desta maneira, o objetivo deste estudo foi o de avaliar o efeito da
Fisioterapia aquática em pacientes do género masculino com capsulite adesiva em fase 1.
Metodologia: foram avaliados 20 pacientes do sexo masculino com capsulite adesiva em
fase 1. Estes foram divididos em dois grupos o GE1 da Fisioterapia aquática e o GE2 da
Fisioterapia convencional. Todos foram sujeitos a uma avaliação inicial, tendo sido
efetuada anamnese, avaliação das amplitudes de movimento, avaliação da dor com
recurso à escala visual numérica, a força muscular utilizando a escala de KENDALL e o
questionário American Shoulder And Elbow Surgeons Standardized Assessmenr Form,
para avaliar as Atividades de Vida Diária.
Resultados: Tanto na fisioterapia convencional quanto na fisioterapia aquática foram
verificadas diferenças estatisticamente significativas entre os testes pré e pós intervenção
e quando comparados as duas intervenções entre elas foi possível verificar que nas
variáveis de flexão ativa, passiva, abdução ativa, passiva, adução ativa, passiva, rotação
interna passiva, rotação externa ativa, passiva e a funcionalidade a fisioterapia aquática
foi mais eficaz que a fisioterapia convencional. Os aspectos relacionados a dor, força
muscular e extensão ativa, passiva, rotação interna ativa não foram encontradas
diferenças significativas entre a fisioterapia aquática e a convencional.
Conclusão: De forma geral, e analisando todos os dados apresentados, é possível afirmar
que a fisioterapia aquática foi mais eficaz para os ganhos das amplitudes de movimento,
só não na extensão ativa, passiva e na rotação interna ativa. Na variável de funcionalidade
a fisioterapia aquática também se mostrou mais eficaz que a fisioterapia convencional.
Porém os dois métodos em relação as variáveis de força muscular e dor parecem ter sido
eficientes para o tratamento de capsulite adesiva nos sujeitos da amostra.

The treatment by conventional physiotherapy is commom, but there is no consensus in literature about origin and other treatment strategies. Thus, the objective of the study was to evaluate the effect of aquatic physiotherapy in male patients with phase 1 adhesive capsulitis. Methodology: 20 male patients with phase 1 adhesive capsulitis were evaluated. These were divided into two groups: GE1 of aquatic physiotherapy and GE2 of conventional physiotherapy. All were subjected to an initial evaluation, with anamnesis, evaluation of range of motion, pain evaluation using visual analogue scale, muscle strength using the KENDALL scale and the American Shoulder And Elbow Surgeons Standardized Assessmet Form questionnaire to evaluate Activities of Daily Living. Results: In both conventional physiotherapy and aquatic physiotherapy, there were statistically significant differences between the pre and post intervention tests and when comparing the two interventions between them it was possible to verify that in the variables of active, passive, active, passive, active, passive, passive internal rotation, active external rotation, passive and the functionality of aquatic physiotherapy was more effective than conventional physiotherapy. The aspects related to pain, muscular strength and active extension, passive, active internal rotation were not found significant differences between aquatic and conventional physiotherapy. Conclusion: In general, and analyzing all the data presented, it is possible to affirm that aquatic physiotherapy was more effective in the gains of the range of motion, only in the active extension, passive, active internal rotation. In the functional variable aquatic physiotherapy was also more effective than conventional physiotherapy. However, in relation to the variables of muscular strength and pain, the two methods seem to have been efficient for the treatment of adhesive capsulitis in the subjects of the sample.
