Abstract(s)
Este trabalho tem como principal objetivo a revisão científica sobre o consumo do leite para além da infância. Foi objetivo principal avaliar os argumentos científicos que suportam o consumo de leite como fonte saudável de cálcio e outros nutrientes, bem como os argumentos que consideram este alimento supérfluo para este fim. Teve-se em consideração as alternativas ao leite em caso de intolerância ou alergia, mas também em padrões alimentares que não contemplem este alimento na sua dieta. Foram também analisados estudos que relacionam o cálcio com malefícios para a saúde, tais como: doença cardiovascular ou alguns tipos de cancro.
This paper's main objective is the scientific review of the milk consumption beyond childhood. The main objective was to assess the scientific arguments supporting the consumption of milk as a healthy source of calcium and other nutrients as well as the arguments that consider this superfluous food for this purpose. It took into consideration the alternatives to milk in case of intolerance or allergy, but also in food patterns that do not offer this food in your diet. Studies were also analyzed calcium relating to harm to the health, such as cardiovascular disease or certain cancers.
