Na Medicina Dentária contemporânea, a estética ocupa um lugar cada vez mais importante. A busca pela intervenção minimamente invasiva é hoje uma abordagem totalmente implementada, por razões biológicas, biomecânicas e estéticas, sendo cada vez mais importante orientar os preparos dentários, tendo em mente o resultado reabilitador final.
Durante a última década, foi dado ênfase ao aspeto da produção da reabilitação final baseada num planeamento inicial da melhor solução para cada paciente. Este planeamento, ao poder ser materializado através de um m é todo simples, o mock up funciona como um meio de obtenção de uma comunicação médico dentista técnico de laboratório paciente mais clara, precisa e eficaz.
O mock up posiciona se, então, como uma ferramenta fundamental de planeamento terapêutico sistemático, que garante a validação do projeto pelo paciente, o controlo e a orientação dos preparativos pelo praticante, bem como a realização de provisórios já simulando o resultado final.
Ao longo desta revisão narrativa, apresentaremos diferentes técnicas de mock up disponíveis atualmente, entre as quais o médico dentista pode selecionar a que mais se adapta à sua prá tica clínica, dando lhe a possibilidade de planear e materializar o projeto proposto.
A construção de um projeto estético e funcional materializado por um mock up continua a ser um desafio do dia a dia e a sua boa integração na boca abrir á caminho para o sucesso. Uma vez validado, ele servir á como um GPS para o praticante.
In contemporary Dentistry, aesthetics occupies an increasingly important place. The search for minimally invasive intervention is today a fully implemented approach, for biological, biomechanical and aesthetic reasons, and it is increasingly important to guide dental preparations, keeping in mind the final rehabilitative result. During the last decade, emphasis has been placed on the aspect of producing the final rehabilitation based on an initial planning of the best solution for each patient. This planning, as it can be materialized through a simple method, the Mock up, works as a means of obtaining a clearer, more precise and effective communication dentist / lab technician / patient. The mock up is thus positioned as a fundamental tool for systematic therapeutic planning that guarantees the validation of the project by the patient, the control and guidance of the preparations by the practitioner, as well as the realization of provisional already simulating the final result. Throughout this narrative review, we will present different mock up techniques currently available, among which dentists can select the one that best suits their clinical practice, giving them the possibility to plan and materialize the proposed project. The construction of an aesthetic and functional project materialized by a mock up continues to be a daily challenge and its good integration in the mouth will pave the way for success. Once validated, it will serve as a GPS for the practitioner.
