Abstract(s)
BioMed, Science Direct e B-on.
As resinas
financeiro relativamente baixo e bons resultados clínicos.
Tooth wear is a progressive and irreversible phenomenon, the etiology of which cannot be explained by carious, traumatic processes or developmental disorders. There are several restorative options for the resolution of cases with dental wear, from direct to indirect rehabilitations with composite resins. The aim of this bibliographic review is to address the concept of dental wear, seeking to describe the necessary steps for a correct and adequate gathering of clinical information. Currently available treatment alternatives are also explored. For this, a search was performed in PubMed/Medline, BioMed, Science Direct and B-on databases. Dentists play a fundamental role in the restorative process, as well as in managing the expectations associated with treatment success. Composite resins offer a good level of satisfaction to patients, presenting a relatively low financial cost and good clinical results. These dental materials can be a conservative and viable rehabilitation option.
