Abstract(s)
O presente trabalho pretendeu analisar as razões que levam os consumidores a cessar os consumos de substâncias ilícitas. Participaram no presente estudo 64 sujeitos que frequentam uma instituição em Bragança, sendo que metade é consumidor e a outra metade ex-consumidor. Utilizando uma abordagem mista (estudo quantitativo e qualitativo), foi administrada a Escala de Satisfação com a Vida e um guião de entrevista constituído por 25 questões sobre as razões que estiveram na base da decisão de cessação dos consumos, etapas durante o processo de cessação dos consumos, apoios concedidos e percecionados ao longo do processo de cessação, suporte familiar, identificação de um acontecimento marcante, hábitos de consumo e aprendizagens realizadas e partilhadas. Os principais resultados encontrados são bastante animadores, sublinhando a existência de uma maior satisfação com a vida por parte dos ex-consumidores.
The present study intended to analyze the reasons that lead consumers to cease consumption of illicit substances. Participated in this study 64 subject who attends an institution in Portugal, half are actual consumers, and the other half ex-consumers. Using a mixed approach (quantitative and qualitative study), was administered the Satisfaction with Life Scale and a script of 25 questions interview consisting about the reasons that have been on the basis of the decision of cessation of consumption, steps during the process of cessation of consumption, granted and perceived supports throughout the process of cessation, family support, identifying a striking event, consumption habits and learning and shared experiences. The main results are quite encouraging, underlining the existence of greater satisfaction with life in the ex-consumers group.
