Visando o sucesso de um tratamento de reabilitação estĂ©tica Ă© fundamental a obtenção da cor programada para o resultado final. Previamente Ă cimentação definitiva estĂĄ recomendada uma etapa de prova das facetas, recorrendo a pastas de try-in, que podem ser usadas como indicadores do resultado final. No entanto, diferentes estudos mostram nĂŁo haver concordĂąncia de resultados no que se refere Ă influĂȘncia das pastas try-in no resultado final.
Com esta revisão bibliogråfica, pretende-se abordar a temåtica dos cimentos de try-in, visando clarificar a controvérsia existente em relação ao papel desempenhado por estas pastas relativamente à previsibilidade do resultado final. Foi elaborada uma revisão bibliogråfica, com recurso a bases de dados como a PubMed/Medline, B-On e Science Direct.
Concluiu-se que, para a maioria dos estudos consultados, nĂŁo existe concordĂąncia de resultados em relação Ă influĂȘncia das pastas try-in no resultado final. Contudo, o tema permanece como uma questĂŁo controversa na literatura.
Obtaining the final resultâs desired color is key for the success of an aesthetic rehabilitation treatment. Prior to the final cementation, a veneer testing step is recommended, using try-in pastes, which can be used as indicators of the final result. However, different studies show no agreement of outcomes regarding the evaluation of try-in pastesâ influence on the final result. This review aims to address try-in pastes in order to clarify the existing controversy regarding the role played by these materials in relation to the final resultâs predictability. A literature review was developed using databases such as PubMed/Medline, B-On and Science Direct. It was concluded that, for most of the consulted studies, there is no agreement of outcomes regarding the influence of try-in pastes on the final result. However, the issue remains controversial in the literature.
