No âmbito do projeto de graduação com vista à obtenção da Licenciatura de Terapia da Fala foi realizada a tradução, adaptação cultural e linguística de um teste de avaliação da linguagem (Progressive Aphasia RatIng Scale - PARIS), para o Português Europeu (PE), tendo sido o mesmo elaborado para a população com Afasia Progressiva Primária (APP).
Para o efeito do mesmo, serão seguidas diferentes etapas metodológicas, entre as quais a tradução, na qual foi pedida a colaboração de dois tradutores independentes e realizada uma fusão das mesmas de forma a obter uma primeira versão do documento, em língua portuguesa. Posteriormente, foram contactados outros dois tradutores independentes para a realização da retrotradução, tendo a síntese das mesmas seguido para o autor do documento original. Na fase final, a primeira versão do documento, resultado da síntese dos tradutores, seguiu para um painel de peritos, de forma a averiguar a equivalência transcultural dos itens traduzidos.
Com a realização deste trabalho, espera-se disponibilizar uma prova de avaliação do perfil linguístico de pessoas com Afasia Progressiva Primária, que será posteriormente validada para o Português Europeu.
Within the scope of the graduation project with a view to obtaining the Speech Therapy Degree, the translation, cultural and linguistic adaptation of a language assessment test (Progressive Aphasia RatIng Scale - PARIS) was carried out into European Portuguese, having was the same one developed for the population with Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA). For this purpose, different methodological steps will be followed, including translation, in which the collaboration of two independent translators was requested and a fusion was carried out to obtain a first version of the document, im Portuguese. Subsequently, two other independent translators were contacted to carry out the backtranslation, and their synthesis was sent to the author of the original document. In the final phase, the first version of the document, the result of the translators synthesis, went to a panel of experts, to ascertainthe cross-cultural equivalence of the translated items. By carrying out this work, we hope to provide a test to assess the linguistic profile of people with PPA, which will later be validated for European Portuguese.
