Abstract(s)
Este estudo parte da utilização de ferramentas de planejamento estratégico com vista à análise da viabilidade financeira do setor esportivo numa instituição escolar. Neste contexto, buscando a melhoria e o fortalecimento da instituição, é realizado um diagnóstico a fatores externos (através dos métodos PEST e 5 Forças Porter) e a fatores internos (através da análise funcional), posteriomente resumidos numa matriz SWOT. Como resultado do diagnóstico interno e externo do posicionamento da empresa efetuado definiu-se como objetivo o crescimento através do aumento da quota de mercado, diversificação dos negócios e identificação de novas oportunidades. Estes objetivos foram incorporados numa análise de cenários que permitiu concluir que, além dos benefícios relacionados à pratica esportiva, o investimento no desporto escolar na instituição em análise é financeiramente viável.
This study uses strategic planning tools in order to assess the financial viability of the sports department in an education institution. Within this context, and aiming at improving and strengthening the institution, the study conducts a diagnosis of external factors (through the PEST and Porter's 5 forces methods) and of internal factors (through a functional analysis), later summarized in a SWOT matrix. As a result of internal and external diagnosis of corporate positioning, it was established that growth may be achieved through increased market share, diversification of business and identifying new opportunities. These goals were incorporated in a scenario an analysis that allows to conclude that, besides the benefits related to sports practice, investment in the sports department of this education institution is financially viable.
