Abstract(s)
O objectivo deste estudo foi medir os níveis de independência funcional e recuperação do
movimento voluntário em doentes com AVC na alta hospitalar e após três meses, utilizando
o Índice de Barthel Modificado (IBM) e a Stroke Rehabilitation Assessment of Movement
(STREAM). 30 doentes com AVC dos serviços de medicina interna do Hospital Santo André,
Leiria, foram avaliados. Verificou-se um aumento significativo nos resultados do IBM e da
STREAM três meses após a alta hospitalar e uma forte relação entre os resultados do IBM e o lado da lesão. The aim of this study was to measure the levels of functional independence and recovery of
voluntary movement in stroke patients at discharge and three after months, using the Modified
Barthel Index (MBI) and the Stroke Rehabilitation Assessment of Movement (STREAM).
30 stroke patients from Internal Medicine Services (Hospital Santo André, Leiria), were assessed.
There was a significant increase in the results from MBI and STREAM 3 months after
discharge and a strong relationship between the results of MBI and the side of the lesion.
