Abstract(s)
The present study focuses on the victimization of the drug-dependent population, more precisely from a criminological and psychopathological point of view. For this, we questioned the significant frequency of experiences of victimization in the context of drug addiction. It was also sought to know that there is a register of victimization situations prior to the drug addiction phase. Finally, the similarity in the victimization situations was also verified to the point of being able to refer a pattern of victimization by this population. As such, an exploratory, observational and descriptive cross-sectional study based on self-report and survey was adopted. The results obtained in a sample of 32 drug addicts led to the conclusion that there is a real presence of victimization in this type of population. From these results it was also possible to identify similarities between the evaluated subjects that are related to the issue of victimization in drug addiction, specifically in the characterization of the victim, the aggressor and the victimizing event itself
