O preenchimento facial com ácido hialurónico (AH) é considerado um procedimento
minimamente invasivo que cresce ano após ano. A busca pelo aspeto jovem, pela correção de
pequenas imperfeições, faz com que novas técnicas, novos produtos e novos profissionais surjam
no mercado a todo momento e, juntamente com esse crescimento, aparecem as intercorrências, que
podem ser desde uma insatisfação por excesso de expectativa, até algo mais sério e irreversível
como uma necrose tecidual.
Este estudo relata as principais intercorrências que podem acontecer em procedimentos de
harmonização orofacial, para que os profissionais de saúde possam nortear seus planeamentos e
indicações no uso de preenchedores dérmicos faciais à base de AH.
Facial filling with hyaluronic acid (HA) is considered a minimally invasive procedure that grows year after year. The search for the youthful aspect, for the correction of small imperfections, causes new techniques, new products and new professionals to appear on the market at all times and, along with this growth, complications arise, which can be from dissatisfaction to excess of expectations , even something more serious and irreversible like tissue necrosis. This study reports the main complications that can happen in orofacial harmonization procedures, so that health professionals can guide their planning and indications in the use of HA dermal facial fillers.
