Abstract(s)
Introdução: As desordens alimentares são caracterizadas pela obsessão com o peso e a imagem, manifestando-se sobretudo pelo medo de aumento de peso, o que consequentemente leva a comportamentos alimentares de risco.
Objetivo: A elaboração desta revisão bibliográfica pretende demonstrar como as desordens alimentares afetam a saúde oral.
Métodos: Foi elaborada uma revisão bibliográfica, com recurso a base de dados informáticas como a PubMed, B-on, Science Direct e Scielo. Esta revisão bibliográfica foi suportada por artigos de revisão retirados das bases de dados anteriormente referidas.
Conclusão: As principais manifestações na cavidade oral dos indivíduos com Desordens Alimentares são a erosão dentária, a cárie dentária, a hipersensibilidade dentária, a xerostomia, a hipertrofia das glândulas salivares e o bruxismo.
