Edward H. Angle developed a dental classification system for the anteroposterior position of the permanent canines and molars, divided in class I, II and III. In the orthodontic practice, distalizing teeth can be a challenge, nowadays the use of clear aligners namely the most popular brand Invisalign ® have brought a new way to move teeth. The latest techniques and the most recent developments to the appliance mechanics have now made bodily movement with clear aligners possible. Objectives: The aim of the present study is it is to compare different articles in order to analyze the possibility of correcting a dental class II malocclusion by means of distalization with the invisalign system. Results: In this review of articles, we were able to discover that maxillary distalization was possible, and the post-treatment point, the first molar moved distally 2+/- 3 mm without significant tipping and vertical movements. No significant movements were detected on the lower arch. Conclusion: Aligner therapy associated with or without composite attachments and class II elastics can effectively produce bodily movement of teeth in the maxillary arch.
