dc.description.abstractObjetivo: Verificar a validade e fiabilidade de instrumentos de avaliação de DTM disponíveis na literatura. Metodologia: Pesquisa computorizada nas bases de dados MEDLINE, CINAHL, SPORTDiscus e Pubmed para identificar estudos que contenham instrumentos para avaliação da articulação temporomandibular na presença de disfunção. Resultados: Nesta revisão foram incluídos 9 artigos envolvendo 2380 indivíduos, sendo eles avaliados usando a escala QUADAS-2. Discussão/Conclusão: Constatamos que existem várias técnicas utilizadas para avaliação da ATM, entre elas os testes ativos, passivos, testes dinâmicos/estáticos, TAC, detecção de ruídos da ATM e eletromiografia e que demonstram diferentes formas na intervenção da patologia. Contudo, concluímos que não existe ainda um protocolo claro e cientificamente validado para a avaliação da disfunção temporomandibular.pt_PT
dc.description.abstractObjective: Evaluate the validity and reliability of TMD assessment tools available in the literature. Methodology: Search in the following databases MEDLINE, CINAHL, SPORTDiscus and Pubmed to identify studies that contains tools for assessing the presence of temporomandibular joint dysfunction. Results: In this review were included nine articles involving 2380 individuals evaluated using the QUADAS-2 scale. From the mentioned articles, five of them refer the use of orthopedic tests, two include imaging in TMJ and scales, one uses sound recording to distinguish joint noises and other, is constituted by surface electromyography. Discussion/Conclusion: It was noted that there are several techniques used to evaluate the Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ), including the active and passive tests, dynamic/static tests, computerized tomography, TMJ noise detection and electromyography and shown different ways in the intervention of the pathology. However, we conclude that there is still no clear protocol and scientifically validated for the assessment of temporomandibular dysfunction.pt_PT
