Abstract(s)
O paciente, enquanto indivíduo, está cada vez mais informado e exigente nas suas vontades e expectativas individuais, pelo que o médico dentista, hoje, não pode ser um mero executor de medicina dentária, mas sim um "coach de saúde", onde para além de, toda a experiência técnica, é-lhe exigido que veja o seu paciente como único, assim como, deverá torná-lo o principal responsável na sua saúde oral.
O principal objetivo desta dissertação, é mostrar a relevância do coaching como ferramenta do Médico dentista na adesão, manutenção, conclusão e prevenção na saúde oral em relação ao seu paciente.
Para estudar este tema, foi feita uma revisão bibliográfica, com recurso a bases de dados informáticas como a Google, Pub-med e B-on.
Conclui-se que, nos dias de hoje, o coaching na saúde em geral é imprescindível, especificamente, na medicina dentária.
The patient, as an individual, has been over time, more informed and vigorous on their individuals demands and desires, that’s why dentist, today, can´t be a mere dental executor, but most of all, a health coacher, where beyond, his dental expertise, it is required to see his patient as a unique individual and to turn him the main responsible of his own oral health.
