O presente projeto de graduação apresenta uma contextualização global das funções de um criminólogo, focando-se nas suas competências, e como podem ser desenvolvidas em ambiente escolar. Procurou-se desenvolver uma articulação interdisciplinar entre a criminologia de prevenção, proteção e de intervenção, nas escolas, com outros intervenientes, como alunos, psicólogos, encarregados de educação, professores e comunidade geral, diretamente relacionada a este ambiente. O projeto divide-se em quatro temas essenciais; o Sistema Educativo Português, a Delinquência Juvenil, a Criminologia em Portugal e a Potencialidade de um Criminólogo desenvolver as suas competências, em ambiente escolar. Este trabalho visa alertar o sistema educativo português sobre a importância de uma parceria dinâmica e multidisciplinar entre os diversos intervenientes, destacando o papel crucial do criminólogo na prevenção e na aplicação de estratégias contra a delinquência juvenil.
Tratando-se de uma matéria ainda recente, muita da informação reunida teve por base a pesquisa, o estudo e leitura de autores familiarizados com a temática, assim como a pesquisa em sites, como a Direção-Geral da Educação (Ministério da Educação), Organização das Nações Unidas, Comissão Nacional de Promoção dos Direitos e Proteção das Crianças e Jovens (CPCJ), entre outros organismos públicos que atribuem prioridade a esta temática, e contribuem para a crescente evolução.
This degree project offers a comprehensive view of the functions of a criminologist, focusing on their competences and how these can be developed in a school environment. The aim is to develop an interdisciplinary approach between the criminology of prevention, protection, and intervention in schools, with other stakeholders such as students, psychologists, parents/carers, teachers and the general community directly related to this environment. The project is divided into four key themes: the Portuguese education system, juvenile delinquency, criminology in Portugal and the potential role of criminologists in the school environment. The aim of this work is to alert the Portuguese education system to the importance of a dynamic, multidisciplinary partnership between the various stakeholders, emphasizing the crucial role of criminologists in preventing and implementing strategies to combat juvenile delinquency. As this is a recent topic, a significant part of the information gathered is based on research, analysis and review of works by experts in the field, as well as research on websites such as the DGE (Ministry of Education), the United Nations, the National Commission for the Promotion of the Rights and Protection of Children and Young People (CPCJ), among other public and local institutions that prioritize this topic and contribute to its ongoing development.
