| dc.description.abstract | Objetivo: Identificar os diferentes tipos de implantes e sua possível interferência na perda óssea marginal peri-implantar. Materiais e Métodos: Foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica com recurso à base de dados eletrónica PubMed. Foram aplicados critérios de inclusão e exclusão, tais como o idioma em inglês, o limite temporal (artigos publicados nos últimos 15 anos), estudos em humanos e tipos de artigos, tais como: revisões sistemáticas, meta-análises, estudos randomizados controlados, estudos prospetivos e estudos retrospetivos com um mínimo de 5 anos de seguimento. Resultados: Foram analisados 21 artigos que relacionavam a geometria do corpo e do colo do implante, o desenho das espiras, o tipo de conexão e plataforma switching e a sua relação com a perda óssea marginal. Conclusões: O conceito de plataforma switching foi considerado o aspeto mais influente na prevenção da perda óssea marginal em redor de implantes dentários. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Objectives: To identify the different types of implants and their possible interference on marginal bone loss around implants. Materials and Methods: A review was performed using the PubMed electronic database. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied, such as the English language, the time limit (articles published in the last 15 years), studies in humans and types of articles, such as: systematic reviews, meta-analyses, randomized controlled studies, prospective studies and retrospective studies with a minimum of 5 years of follow-up. Results: Twenty-one articles were analyzed that related the design of the body and the neck of the implant, the threads design, the type of connection and the switching platform and its relationship with marginal bone loss. Conclusions: The switching platform concept was considered the most influential aspect in preventing marginal bone loss around dental implants. | pt_PT |
