Abstract(s)
a enxerto.
This work aims to make a narrative review of the literature on PRF in bone gain surgeries in the maxillary sinus lift (MSL), and its potential in separate use or associated with bone graft. The Pubmed, SciELO and Google Scholar databases were used, in which the abstracts were included and the articles were adapted to the theme. With the emergence of PRF in 2001, several papers have been published about its potential use in surgeries, in MSL, used alone or in association with the bone graft. Several authors have verified that PRF favors treatment alone or associated to graft. In contrast, other authors have shown that the use of this material does not optimize the result, and its use is not necessary. We conclude that PRF is an autologous biomaterial of extreme interest in tissue repair, but its use in MSL surgeries is still questionable.
